When I first started this blog, I wanted to talk about being better stewards of our time. As a Christian, I wanted to be sure that I was using my time the right way. It always bugged me though – was a Christian, was I really following Jesus?
If you’re a Christian, have you ever asked yourself these questions:
- Is me being a Christian more about the Christ or more about me?
- Can we really compromise the gospel? Are we really supposed to blend in or stand out?
- What if I actually decided to follow Jesus?
- Do we really have to give our whole life to Jesus to follow him?
If you’ve ever asked these questions, then this blog is for you. Know that you’re probably not the only one asking either. If anything, you’re part of a community.
It’s not about me
We’re all stewards of our time. We might not always think that way, but we choose how we’re going to spend our time here on earth. Have you ever asked yourself, what are you living for? This blog is about asking that question. But it’s also about saying it’s not about me. Because the world doesn’t revolve around me, it revolves around someone else. It revolves around Jesus.
I want to encourage you. I want to tell you about the person we all need most – Jesus. If you’re a Christian, I hope you’ll find these posts encouraging. I hope that you choose to live for Him. Like really live for Him. I hope you realize who you really are. Who God says you are. That you’re incredibly valuable to Him. He loves you like crazy.
If you’re not a Christian, I hope you’ll read this blog all the same. He loves you. He knows you. You’re so valuable to Him. Nothing you do will ever change that. He died for you. Yes, Jesus died for you. It’s not just some doctrine. It’s a beautiful picture of unconditional love. And the good news is that Jesus offers this relationship with him to anyone. I can tell you more about it if you want, just pop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
